New PTR Build changes - Dungeon and Raid ID Extensions

Players can extend a dungeon or raid ID on an individual basis and the ID can be extended more than once is great for casual raiding guilds.  It is going to be a great patch.

New PTR Build 10072 - Changes List - Wowraid
Dungeon and Raid ID Extensions

* In order to allow for parties and raids to progress through instances at their own pace, players can now extend a dungeon or raid ID on an individual basis.
* Existing or recently expired IDs can be extended via the Social tab under Raid by clicking on Raid Info.
* The ID of any instance to which a player is saved can be extended. Doing so will extend the lockout period by the same amount of time as the original lockout (i.e. extending an Ulduar raid ID will add 7 days, a Heroic: Halls of Lightning dungeon ID will add 24 hours, and a Zul’Gurub raid ID will add 3 days to the lockout time).
* An ID can be extended more than once.
* An extension can be reversed on an individual basis provided the player does not do anything in the instance during the extended lockout period that would save that player to the instance.

Naxx 25 Pug Guide

Escape Hatch: How To Run Your Own Awesome Naxx 25 PuG: Part 2: All the Rest
Since top ten lists = most popular thing on the internet, and me = liking the number 10, here are 9 more thingies I think you should do if you want to lead a Naxx 25 pug that is going to mow down the place, clear everything, and give you and your buddies best in slot gear (and inevitably gear up that one guy who keeps getting lucky drops).

This is a nice guide for running a Naxx 25 pug. I found it interesting since I run a raid for my guild and it is kind of a pug. We have another guild we invite (they bring 2-5 people) and then we get the rest off of friends lists, LFG and previous raiders.

2nd Type of Emblem of Valor?

Encrypted Text: Upcoming Rogue gear in patch 3.1
Emblem Gear:
While much of the emblem gear is unavailable, I want to explain how the new token and naming system works. The "Heroes" prefix refers to ilvl 200 gear, the "Valorous" prefix refers to ilvl 213-219 gear, and the "Conqueror's" prefix refers to ilvl 226+ gear. Emblems of Heroism will continue to buy ilvl 200 gear, so don't expect to find any upgrades here. However, there will be a new type of Valorous token introduced (some are calling them different colors, such as red and blue Valorous tokens) that will be used for ilvl 219 gear exclusively. Current Emblems of Valor will NOT allow you to purchase any of this new gear, and so saving up your EoVs is not a wise investment.

The new EoV2s (my name for them) will be usable for the new ilvl 219 gear, and the current EoVs will stick to ilvl 213 gear. While it's only a slight upgrade, my hopes are that the EoV2 gear occupies different slots than the current gear, allowing us to maximize our gearing speed without worrying about wasting any Emblems. Look for two pieces of T810 and T825 available on the vendors as well!

This is very odd and irritating. Why would Blizzard add two items of the same name with different colors? Just make them completely separate emblems. I hope this is just a rumor and not true.

Making money while waiting for Naxxramas Raid to begin

I have found that sometimes people just stand around while the Naxxramas raid is about to begin.  They fly around on their giant mounts around the summoning stone making it hard to summon and waste time and money.  There are some things that one could do while waiting around and you could still be close to the raid for when it begins.

1. Kreug Oathbreaker - Thanks to Markcos blog post

Just My Two Copper: Kreug's Sword - Easy Quick Wow Gold - A World of Warcraft Economic Blog
Kreug Oathbreaker just outside of Naxx drops a 6 gold gray sword 43% of the time. Combined with his chance to drop up to 7 frostweave cloth makes him a worthwhile kill on the way to your nightly raid.
This is a quick check for a fast 6 gold as long as you can kill him.

2. Farming Ice Revenants - These are great to farm because they drop [Crystallized Water] - which is used in 20 recipes, and they create [Eternal Water] - which is used in 56 different recipes.  You can sell these on the AH or even better use them to craft items to sell on the AH.  They also drop a lot of grays which can be sold.

3. Farming Meat and Skinning - You are going to be using some food during your raid so you might as well farm some while waiting if you need it.  You get a bonus if you are skinner too. [Chunk O' Mammoth] is easy to farm with some groups of Mammoths that wander around the Wyrmrest Temple.  [Worm Meat] is also not too hard to find. Up in the north there are a lot of worms by the Crystal Vice that drop the meat 50% of the time.

4. Fishing - A great item can be fished in this zone. [Dragonfin Angelfish] can be fished in some areas in the zone (map) and it makes the some of the best stat food. Strength and Agility food is made from these.

These four things provide something anyone can do while sitting around waiting for a raid to start in the Dragonblight. What do you do when you are waiting for a raid to start?
